Black Cat: Hi Jeff, tell us how you have became an artist.. Did you choose Art or did Art choose you?
Jeff Kromer: as a child somewhere around age of 9-10yrs. old I found I was interested in creating things, drawing and copying from comics.
Initially I wanted to work in movies and do special effects and make-up designs..from there things grew and I believe that making art in the end chose me.

Black Cat: Hi Vincent, your art is really amazing. When did you first realize you were an artist? Why did you choose Art?
Vincent Castiglia: I began making art when I was very young, from as long as I could remember really. It was a place to put the feelings and thoughts I couldn’t put anywhere, or share with anyone. My childhood was not a good one, so making art for began as therapy and catharsis.

Black Cat: What is your earliest memory of creating art? How is born this passion?
Xavier Landry: I don't remember the very fist time I created something I could call "art". I remember that I like drawing since ever. My father is a graphic designer so I always had access to a lot of pencils, pen and a handful of all kind of mediums. There's a couple of drawings that I still have.I did insignificant portraits and things like clowns and sugar shack scenes but one of the most interesting, and I think it is one of the oldest drawing I did ( around the age of 5), represents a war scene with Jeeps and tanks, a lot of machine guns and angels being gunned down. At the age of 8 I received an acrylic painting kit from my uncle who was a painter himself. At this time I was painting landscapes and surreal characters.

Black Cat: When did you find out your passion for painting?

Karl Persson: I’ve been drawing since I was a child and basically never stopped. I decided to start taking it seriously when I was about 18. I studied at a classical school part time for a few years and then did a diploma of visual arts. After that I was pretty well on my way to making painting my main thing.
