Jest jednym z bardziej rozpoznawalnych artystów XX wieku. Postrzegany bywał jako skrajny ekscentryk, wymyślił własną metodę "paranoiczno-krytyczną".

A.K.: Jak się zaczęła? Szczerze mówiąc nie pamiętam,rysowałem od zawsze. Zawodowo jestem architektem, a właściwie byłem. Od lat zajmuje się przede wszystkim malarstwem. Ogromny wpływ na ten fakt miał nie żyjący już polski malarz i rysownik, Franciszek Starowieyski. To pod jego wpływem ograniczyłem warsztat do pasteli.
